Brian provides comprehensive financial planning, insu rance and investment management to his clients. He was a seasoned entrepreneur prior to becoming a licensed stock broker and insurance agent in 1996. As the assistant to an investment manager who specialized in working with physicians and other people with high net worth, he learned financial planning, investment management and insurance design working on “real-life” cases with successful people. He has since developed his own practice and concentrates on working with people in the healthcare industry as well as their families and closely held businesses. Brian converted his commission-based practice to a fee-based business by establishing the Registered Investment Advisor firm of Case Financial Services in 2000. Case Financial Services transitioned from state to SEC oversight and was renamed Bradway Financial, LLC, in 2007. He is a Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Analyst candidate.

 

Brian lives with his wife and three children in Somers, Conn., where they enjoy hiking, bicycling and cross country skiing on the 80 acres of trust land and state forest adjacent to their home.


Craig A. Roncaioli, ChFC - Principal, Investment Committee Chair, Senior Advisor

Whether it is planning for a child’s education, a secure and fulfilling retirement or dealing with the emotional and dynamic issues of estate planning, Craig believes there is no substitute for a firm that can weave together the technical and the personal. Craig has more than 25 years doing exactly that for his clients.
 
Craig began his financial services career in 1984 after stints in teaching, coaching and in the corporate world with Procter & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson. In the mid 1990s Craig and Brian worked together and began developing many of the programs and systems that our clients benefit from today. In 2007 Craig joined Bradway Financial in order to better serve his clients, some of whom he has been advising for more than two decades.
 
He holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Connecticut, has studied at the Clark Graduate School of Management and earned his Chartered Financial Consultant certificate from American College.
 
He is an avid fan of the University of Connecticut Huskies; his three children; his wife, Karen; the game of golf and almost any activity that helps him stay fit. He enjoys competing in road races, triathlons along with his family, as well as the occasional golf competition. He lives in West Hartford, Conn., with his wife and, when they are home, his children: Kyle, who attends the University of Hartford; Connor, a student at the University of Michigan; and Casey, who attends UConn.

Richard G. Duncan - Principal, Senior Advisor

Rick brought more than 35 years of financial experience to Bradway Financial when he joined the firm in 2009. He focuses on portfolio management, financial planning and insurance and specializes in matters affecting family held businesses. Rick began his financial career with Connecticut General in 1972, where he handled insurance and estate planning. He went on to establish his own insurance agency before transitioning into financial planning and investment management in 1993. For the past 15 years he was an independent financial advisor in Longmeadow, Mass., operating Richard G. Duncan Financial Services, an affiliate of LPL Financial. Rick also has been involved in real estate development projects. A graduate of Central Connecticut State College, Rick has held his securities license for 35 years, his options license for six years and is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Hampden County.

Rick and his wife, Maria, have lived in Longmeadow for more than 20 years. They have three grown children. In his spare time, Rick enjoys sailing, woodworking and photography.


Maria Duncan - Client Services Manager

Maria joined Bradway Financial in 2009 after serving as manager and administrative assistant at Richard G. Duncan Financial Services for 15 years. In addition to maintaining client relationships, she conducts research and formulates recommendations for stocks, exchange-traded funds, mutual funds, options and annuities. Maria, who holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Connecticut College and a master’s in business administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, brings a varied business background to Bradway. As a property manager for nine years, she was responsible for rental, maintenance and accounting functions for a portfolio of multi-unit residential and commercial properties. She also served as a planning manager and account executive at Southern New England Telephone.

Maria and her husband, Rick, have lived in Longmeadow for more than 20 years. They have three grown children. In her spare time, Maria enjoys sailing, yoga and travel.


Barbara Giard - Administrative Assistant

Barbara, who started as Brian’s assistant in 2001, is the first point of contact for clients who have questions about their accounts, statements, reports, policies or documents. Barbara also maintains the office technology that allows us to focus on financial planning and investment management. Prior to joining Bradway, Barbara was the assistant to the construction manager at Grove Development in Connecticut. Barbara holds an associate’s degree in interior design from Endicott College and was a freelance designer before launching an administrative career. She has completed various business courses at Post College and Manchester Community College. Barbara resides in South Windsor, Conn., with her fiancé and two teenagers. She enjoys crocheting, sewing and other crafts, country line dancing and camping with her family.


Bill Stephens - Communications Manager

Bill, who joined Bradway Financial in 2007 after a 19-year career in journalism, conducts qualitative research and handles communications for the firm. He worked as a reporter, editor and editorial writer for newspapers in New York and Massachusetts. Bill also has written extensively about the railroad industry as a special correspondent for Trains magazine and its Web site. He earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in history, both from St. Bonaventure University. Bill resides in Westfield, Mass., with his wife and two children. He enjoys bicycling, skiing and hiking.


Karen Sprenkle - Bookkeeper

Karen, who joined Bradway in 2009, handles bookkeeping and assists with client-related projects. She brings a varied business background to the firm. Over the past 20 years she has served as temple administrator for a synagogue and held bookkeeping positions for a legal firm, a Web site designer, a restaurant and bicycle shops. Karen also has 13 years of experience at local banks, where she rose from teller to branch operations supervisor. She holds degrees in math and sociology from Clark University. A resident of Longmeadow, Mass., Karen has three grown children and four grandchildren. Karen enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, playing bridge, crocheting and sewing, calligraphy and gardening.


Susan Holland - Client Services Liaison

Sue joined Bradway in 2010 and is responsible for a range of client services. She manages the client review process, keeps client records current and helps advisors prepare for meetings. Sue, who earned a bachelor’s degree in human development and family relations from the University of Connecticut, brings a diverse background to the firm. She is retired from a career as an adult probation officer for the state of Connecticut. She has worked as a crisis counselor for at-risk teens and supervised families who provided emergency shelter for teenagers. And she has experience as an assistant to an accountant, as well as dealing antiques. A certified Spinning instructor, Sue resides in Amherst, Mass., with her husband and three children. In her spare time, she enjoys bicycling and hiking with her two dogs.


Kelly Cusson - Research Analyst

Kelly, a certified public accountant who earned her master’s in business administration from the Yale School of Management, performs financial modeling and analysis for Bradway Financial. She joined Bradway in 2007. Kelly started her career as an auditor for Ernst and Young. After receiving her graduate degree, she worked in the real estate investment field with General Electric and New York Life. Most recently, she was the chief financial officer of a family-owned manufacturing firm. Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree from Holy Cross.
